In
Newport, the Council has started building new bungalows to replace the
prefabs of the tenants who chose that option. Kathleen and Brin have
decided to stay in the prefab they bought in 1982. Kathleen, nicknamed
Peggy, has an extraordinary memory. She remembers every events with a
surprising precision. |
She
keeps everything. She brings us the prefab’s user guide that she
finds in a kitchen drawer. At the time, the English factory where they
were made delivered the prefabs with a user guide. The luxury modernity,
the gas fridge, the folding table, the central heating would have to
be explained. |
